Front Nine: 8th Hole
Pocasset 233 Yards - Par 3
A long downhill par three, the 8th is a hole which can be played either by landing the ball up to 20 yards short and using the natural slopes of the ground to take the ball onto the green or flying the ball all the way. There is a nasty little pot bunker off to the right of the approach, however, which will catch the wayward running shot. The green is deceptively shaped, with a subtle central ridge and slight slopes off to the left and right, designed to make recovery shots a little more nervy. It will be easy to play the ball back onto the green, but rather more difficult and dangerous to maneuver the ball close to the flag if the tee shot finishes on the wrong side of the green.
