"Carnegie Abbey is a tremendous blend of old and new, brought together masterfully by Donald Steel, totally unique to New England but it feels like it has been there forever. You will want to come back."

Front Nine: 4th Hole

Lookout
410Yards - Par 4

The downhill par four 4th is a hole where everyone will find it hard to resist opening the shoulders, although the wide appearance of the hole is deceptive. A well-placed drive is on the left close to the valley, as this will open up the best line into the green.

The green slopes slightly away from front to back, so the shot landing short may well be the best option.

Bloody Run Brook, over which the path from the 2nd crosses, received this name following the Battle of Rhode Island which was fought on these grounds on August 29th, 1778.
